The war between Iran and the United States “will never end with Iran’s surrender,” Iran’s chief negotiator in the talks with Washington warned today, Mohammad Bayer Galibaf, according to the Iranian news agency Isna.
“Ending the war is a priority for countries around the world, but everyone must know that this conflict will never end with Iran’s surrender,” he said, as hostilities resumed this week between his country and the U.S. in the Gulf.
At the same time, Egypt and Qatar called on the United States and Iran to resume their negotiations, Cairo announced today.
In a phone conversation, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Lati and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani urged “all parties to choose the path of diplomacy and dialogue and to resume negotiations,” according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
