The chaos in Ukraine continues shortly after pro-Russian separatists shot down a transport aircraft killing 49 people. The President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, called for an emergency meeting with the heads of the Ministry of Defence and security agencies, stressing that “the terrorists will receive the appropriate response”.
The President of the European Commission Jose Barroso spoke with Vladimir Putin asking to find an immediate solution to the Ukrainian crisis while the MEP Monica Macovei asked the European Union to keep a tough attitude towards Russia.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of State of US John Kerry stressed (through his representatives) that has asked his Russian counterpart to honour the commitments of the country for the immediate resolution of the problem.
While the head of the EU, U.S. and Russia are trying to reach an agreement on Ukraine, protesters in the country gathered in front of the Russian embassy in Kiev and took down the flag, turned over diplomatic cars and threw eggs.
One of the 300 demonstrators got on a railing of the embassy and took down the flag of Russia, while the crowd was shouting “Fascists!”, according to Agence France-Press (AFP).
Russia lashed out at Ukrainian government claiming that the Ukrainian army breached its border with at least one military vehicle.
The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs to submit a formal complaint to the Ukrainian government, the spokesman of Russian government said according to Russian news agencies.
Russian border guards said that a Ukrainian armoured vehicle was found on Friday afternoon at Rostov. The vehicle was within 150 meters of the territory of Russia and added that the vehicle was empty, but the crew returned later to take it back.

The U.S. argued that Russia has sent heavy weaponry in recent days to separatists located in the eastern part of Ukraine, describing this act as “unacceptable”.
“We are very concerned about the new Russia’s efforts to support the separatists,” said the State Department Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf .
“We estimate that the separatists in eastern Ukraine have acquired military equipment and heavy weaponry from Russia” she added
