Prime Minister Antonis Samaras plans interventions in the next six months aiming to relief the social weaker groups and to restore of injustices, as he said to an interview with the Sunday newspaper VIMA.
Mr Samaras noted that the tax reduction plan will be ready in autumn and will have a few years horizon.
“The major changes come step by step. Not suddenly” he noted and set as immediate priorities the acceleration of the reforms that “will bring competitiveness and dynamic growth of the economy” along with the restoration of the injustices.
“Forget the elections” is the message Samaras sends in his first interview after the euroelections and the recent cabinet reshuffle by saying that “”I believe that we will complete our four-year tenure.”
He preannounced relief measures and not austerity measures and noted that until mid autumn a complete plan on the reduction of all the tax burdens will be ready.
“As long as we meet our targets and are standing on our own feet then we would be able to promote our own reform agenda and not only what the troika recommends” said Samaras clarifying that there will be no additional austerity measures.
