Greece’s General Secretariat for Vocational Education, Training and Lifelong Learning has announced the programs that will be offered at the country’s Public Schools of Higher Vocational Training (SAEKs) under the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports for the 2026–2027 academic year.

A total of 95 specializations will be available through 860 training programs at 116 public SAEKs and their 17 branches and satellite campuses, providing students with a broad range of study options aligned with current labor market demands and emerging career opportunities.

Programs Designed Around Labor Market Needs

The selection of specializations was based on proposals submitted by individual public SAEKs, taking into account:

• Labor market needs.
• Investment trends in the Greek economy.
• Regional development priorities.

Special emphasis was placed on island and border regions, where vocational training is expected to support local economic development and help retain skilled workers.

The newly announced programs are in addition to those already listed through Greece’s 2026 Parallel Admissions System, further expanding the educational options available to applicants.

Updated Curriculum and Training Materials

All programs will be delivered using newly developed training guides, while updated educational textbooks and learning materials will be published in the coming weeks as part of the government’s effort to modernize vocational education.

How to Find Available Programs

Prospective students can browse all available specializations by school using the online SAEK Map application.

Applications for admission and enrollment will be submitted during September through the Ministry’s online platform following an official announcement by the General Secretariat.

Candidates will be selected based on academic and social criteria, in accordance with the Operating Regulations for Public SAEKs (Government Gazette 4676/B/2025).

Tuition-Free Education and Housing Support

Attendance at the Ministry’s Public Schools of Higher Vocational Training is free of charge.

Students who enroll in a school located outside their permanent place of residence may also qualify for housing assistance, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
