The weather will be generally clear in most areas, though eastern Macedonia and Thrace can expect localised showers and isolated thunderstorms around midday and in the afternoon. Meanwhile, northerly winds will reach force 7 locally at sea. From Friday, temperatures are expected to fall slightly in the north and east, while winds in the Aegean will strengthen, reaching as much as force 8 in the south-east.

Macedonia, Thrace

Weather: Largely clear. Cloud will build temporarily around midday and in the afternoon, bringing localised showers or isolated thunderstorms to eastern Macedonia and Thrace, as well as other mountainous areas.
Winds: North-easterly, force 3 to 4, gradually becoming variable, force 2 to 4.
Temperature: 19C to 36C, locally up to 37C in central Macedonia.

Ionian islands, Epirus, Western Central Greece, Western Peloponnese

Weather: Generally clear, with some temporary cloud around midday and in the afternoon over mountainous areas, where localised showers are possible.
Winds: Westerly to north-westerly, force 4 to 6, strengthening in the Ionian Sea from midday to locally force 7.
Temperature: 24C to 36C; on the mainland, 37C to 38C and locally as high as 39C. In inland Epirus, the minimum will be 3 to 4 degrees lower.

Thessaly, Eastern & Central Greece, Evia, Eastern Peloponnese
