Turkey has issued a Navtex for the deployment of the Oruc Reis in the area between Antalya and Mersin, extending to the sea area south of the occupied territories of Cyprus.

The Navtex, which remains in force until 25 October, is linked to plans to construct a natural gas pipeline connecting Turkey with the occupied territories.

According to Navtex 0953/26 issued by the Antalya Hydrographic Station, the research vessel Oruc Reis will be accompanied by the ships Denar Pathfinder, Denar Echo and Kirici.
