A major operation was carried out in Thessaloniki last night by the DEOS unit of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).

During the operation, 18 people were arrested on suspicion of acting as front men in an extensive tax evasion network involving nightclubs.

Prominent names from the city’s nightlife scene are reportedly implicated in the case.

The operation followed the assessment of intelligence and, according to initial reports, is leading to the dismantling of a network with a distinct modus operandi.
