Ricky Martin cut Greek-Australian singer Carly Yelayotis from Australia’s “The Voice”. He was the only one of the four judges – that include Kylie Minogue –  not to turn his chair, cutting the young hopeful from further competition. Other Greek-Australians in the top-rating talent show include Frank Lakoudis and Mat Verevis.

Yelayotis’ background is from the island of Mytilini and from Larisa in mainland Greece.
