King of Morocco spends 5 million Euros on Greek holidays! (pics)

Private beach for Princess

Newsroom July 29 05:25

The King of Morocco, Mohamed VI and his wife Princess Lalla Salma might need a few tips from Dr. Schauble about frugal living. The royal couple with their two children and a 200-people entourage reportedly spent around 5 million Euros on their 7-day vacations in Ilia in the western Peloponnese.

The King, who arrived in Greece last week was escorted by the Moroccan Ambassador and the Regent, while apart from his 70-member Royal guard him, the Greek state provided 50 male and female police officers for his safe stay. Butlers, personal trainers, chefs and other staff were among those that came along to make the stay of the Royals feel more like home.

According to sources, hundreds of the Kings personal items were flown into Greece, including his throne, red carpets, marble objects and paintings. A special area had been cordoned off on the beach in front of the hotel they stayed at for the Princess to enjoy her swim away from prying eyes.
