According to Patrastimes site, an illegal trafficking ring of stray dogs and puppies is operating in the city Patras in the north of the Peloponnese. Sources say the dogs are collected and transported to Germany, where demand for animals in bestiality brothels is on the rise. Daily mail online had reported that bestiality brothels in Germany were taking on epidemic proportions giving rise to great concern for German authorities. Patrastimes reports that there has been an official complaint to the local authorities of Patras about 51 stray dogs gone missing. After initial investigations a person was detected trying to smuggle 20 stray dogs to Germany thru the Athens International Airport. The Prosecutor of Patras is informed on the matter. Sources say the price tag for each stray dog amounts to 500 Euros. Investigations are ongoing.
