Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos, who is also the leader of junior coalition partner in the Greek government AN.EL said refugees and illegal immigrants should be transported to ships as a temporary measure. The head of ANEL released a statement outlining that the party members discussed developments on the deal between Greece and the creditors, as well as the immigration crisis. The statement also referred to the need for a debt write-off, if the bailout plan is to be viable. Meanwhile, in a tweet after the party’s meeting Kammenos made it clear that his party will not back the amendment providing for a reduction in military pensions.
