A third night of blood in Gaza – Death toll at 60

New Israeli air strikes at night killed at least seven people

Last night Israel continued its air strikes against Hamas fighters causing, though, the death of at least seven Palestinians who were civilians.

All dead were civilians and five of them were children. This is the largest number of deaths caused in a single day since the new wave of attacks from Israel has started.

Residents of Gaza Strip and the medical staff reported that Israeli aircrafts bombed at least two houses in a densely populated area near the town of Khan Younis, while residents were sleeping.

Bodies were recovered from three or four collapsed houses and as officials of the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that among the dead were five children. 16 more people were injured during the attack, the ministry said.

The Israeli army did not issue a formal announcement about the attacks that were made shortly after Israeli media reported that 30 rockets were fired from the Palestinian territory within one hour targeting cities and towns in southern Israel. No injuries caused by Palestinian rockets were reported.

The official death toll is now at 60 and most of them are civilians. Israel said that Hamas fighters fired more than 200 rockets targeting the inland area of Israel and Israeli air strikes is the answer to the rockets fired by Hamas.
