Sharif suffered from Alzheimer’s

Internationally renowned actor Omar Sharif has died at the age 83. The Egyptian-born film star is best known for his roles in classics like Laurence of Arabia and Dr. Zhivago, for which he picked up Golden Globe award. His agent, Steve Kenis, had confirmed earlier this year that he was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Kenis said the internationally known suffered a heart attack in the afternoon in a hospital in Cairo.
