Air New Zealand removes its hot safety video

However, the Air New Zealand spokesman said that the airline did not remove the video because of the public pressure, but because the video had reached the end of its run.

Airline passengers will no longer see the beautiful girls featured in the in-flight safety video, since the company removed it.

The airline came under severe criticism for the “Safety in Paradise” video and it was accused of “sexualising the female body”.

In the footage, the Sports Illustrated models appear in their bikinis and advise passengers of the safety procedures on board the plane.

Reaction on the Internet was great and about 11,000 people signed an online petition asking for it to be removed, since “it disregarded passengers and made women uncomfortable, including staff members”, as they claim.

However, the Air New Zealand spokesman said that the airline did not remove the video because of the public pressure, but because the video had reached the end of its run.
