Angela Merkel highlights Greece in statements

From Bremen

Angela Merkel spoke in Bremen on Friday, and clearly stated that aid cannot be given, either on immigration issues or financial problems, if terms are not met.

“European solidarity is our duty, when needed, either on the matter of refugees or the Euro’s stabilization. This is possible only when each country is trying on their part. This must be the rule for Europe”, stated the Chancellor.

Even though Merkel did not specifically mention Greece, she outlined the ongoing negotiations on financing in view of this Monday’s Eurogroup.
