Greece is by far a top attraction for tourists this summer with figures confirming it even from the first quarter of 2014.

In June this year all expectations were exceeded with overall substantially been increased compared to the last year.

The high demand for lights to Greece and Athens led to the addition of new charters, which land at Eleftherios Venizelos daily, carrying thousands of passengers in our country.

It is clear from the figures released that the amount of passengers traveled in June were 1,544,789 more than the previous month but also more than the same month last year.

In particular the passengers of domestic flights have increased this year by 22.4%. In June this year 528,913 passengers traveled while in June of last year did not exceed the 432,244. Increased also to last month’s 475,926.

Overall, the first half of the year recorded 17% increase in arrivals in Athens. The amount of passengers that came to Greece is 47, 940,000 more than last year’s first half.
