Equity prices rose on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) on Monday, with the basic share price index up 1.71% at 742.28 points at 11.00 a.m. and turnover at 7.86 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks went up by 1.39% and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was up 2.27%.

On individual sector indices, only the Food & Beverages index moved downwards (-1.27%). The biggest gains were in Banks (+3.46%), Telecoms (+2.80%), Industrial Products (+2.75%) and Oil (+2.47%).

48 of the stocks traded increased, 12 dropped and 5 remained unchanged.
