Brazil: Scenes of Civil War – Assaults on government buildings by Bolsonaro supporters (videos)

Bolsonaro’s supporters refuse to accept Lula’s election to the presidency

Riots have erupted in Brazil, where a conflict of unprecedented proportions is unfolding, with supporters of former president Jair Bolsonaro storming government buildings as they reject the change of leadership sealed with last week’s inauguration.

The scenes are reminiscent of the January 6, 2020 storming of the US Capitol.

Bolsonaro supporters stormed the presidential palace, ministry buildings, Congress and the Supreme Court in Brasilia on Sunday, international news agencies reported.

Thousands draped in Brazilian flags or wearing yellow T-shirts, broke through the police cordon and stormed Congress and ministry buildings in Brasilia.
