Two attackers are on the run after a gun and axe assault in the German city of Cologne, according to reports.
At least one person was injured in the attack in the early hours of this morning, newspaper Express said.
Eyewitnesses told the title men were seen fighting with axes after three or four became embroiled in an altercation with another man.
A victim is said to have been stabbed while trying to flee to his car. Shots were also fired, the paper reported.
The incident is said to have happened near Rudolphplatz, a central part of the western German city. It is not clear what the motives of the attackers were.
