Britain: 370 calls to the police

The woman was calling the police about six times a day – She denied the charges – For five years she is not allowed to communicate with the emergency services

A woman in Britain called the police 374 times over eight weeks and as a result she was sent to jail.
44 year old Suzannah Grevett was calling the police about six times a day, for particular reason, sometimes even to tell them about her future plans.
Hampshire police station which had previously banned her from calling had enough. However, she denied the charges and stated that :” I dispute the amount of times they suggest i called. Although i don’t remember doing so, if they say i did, i must have”.
44 year old was sent to jail for a total six months, three for the calls and three for assaulting an officer.
Further, she also received a five year restraining order which prevents her from communicating with the emergency services, unless there is a real need.
Since April of 2011 the same woman has been convicted 17 times for more than 40 offenses of unnecessary calls to the police.
