Conference in Athens on June 19-23 on “Leadership and Management in the Digital Era”

The event is co-organised by the Athens University of Economics, the Stevens Institute of Technology of the USA, and the Bodossaki Foundation are co-organising

The Athens University of Economics, the Stevens Institute of Technology of the USA, and the Bodossaki Foundation are co-organising, in Athens on June 19-20, 2023, an international conference titled: “LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT IN THE DIGITAL ERA: Shaping the Future of Work and Business Education”.

The conference is under the auspices of A.E. of the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

At a time when digital technologies are bringing about significant changes in work practices, the organisation of businesses, and in general in our way of life, the need for changes in education is becoming more urgent than ever. Especially in the field of Business Administration, international studies highlight the great demands of the digital age and the significant changes in the required skills of executives in order to respond to the new competitive environment.

This conference aims to highlight the most important of these developments in the field of management, leadership, and education. The two days of the conference are structured around the following thematic sections:

Leadership and Governance in the Digital Age, with sessions such as:

  • Leadership and Governance in the Digital Age,
  • Technology and Social Welfare in the Digital Age,
  • Diversity Equity and Inclusion in the Digital Age,
  • Digital Know-how and Upskilling,

  • Organisational Transformation and Innovation,
  • Laying the Foundation for High-Performance Organisations,
  • Startups, Innovation, and University Research

The Future of Business Schools in the Digital Age, with sessions such as:

  • Sustainable Development and Education,
  • Marketing Education in the Digital Age,
  • The Future of Research in Management Schools,
  • Academic Program Innovations for the Digital Age, etc.

During the conference, in addition to the academic research papers that will be presented, the aim is to connect academics with executives from businesses and organisations for fruitful dialogue (through Panel Discussions) and collaboration to address the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.

Personalities of science and entrepreneurship will attend the International Program Committee of the Conference. It is noted that from June 21 to 23, 2023, the Conference will continue in Syros, where its work will be completed in the form of a research colloquium and with the participation of academics, PhDs, and Ph.D. candidates.
