Coronavirus measures – Plevris: By the end of March we will have a full de-escalation

“From 680 we have dropped to 480 in terms of the intubated patients & in the tickets-discharges ratio were 150 in favor of discharges”

According to what the Minister of Health, Thanos Plevris stated on Thursday, there will be a complete de-escalation of the restrictions against the coronavirus between the middle or the end of March.

Specifically, speaking to SKAI, he stated that “by mid-to the end of March, all restrictive measures must be lifted in combination with the pressures on the individual national health systems”.

However, as he underlined, “all experts say that we must be prepared for autumn. The overall picture is that Europe should not be complacent about the end of the pandemic but we should be prepared”, he said, adding that “there is no end to the pandemic”. As he noted speaking to SKAI “even with the existing strain of the coronavirus, many experts believe that even if it has the normal development, it will have an intensity greater than the simple flu”.
