Crete: Mystery with the arrest of two Turkish citizens in a luxury villa – They were under surveillance by state services

A mysterious case in Crete has been under the microscope of police investigation in the last 24 hours, concerning the arrest of two young men from Turkey.

According to information from protothema.gr, the two arrested, 22 and 27 years old, came to our country last September and, from the first moment, their arrival aroused the interest of the authorities and as a result they were put under surveillance by state services who wanted to ascertain the exact reason why they chose to come to our country.

After conducting an investigation, police officers of the Security Directorate of Chania made at noon last Monday raided a villa that had rented the two men in Tersanas and handcuffed them, without so far more has been known about their actions.

Inside the luxury villa, the officers of the Hellenic Police found a 9 mm pistol, as well as 15 cartridges of the same calibre, while a small amount of narcotic substance (hexahydrocannabinol) was seized.

A case was filed against the two men for violation of the Law on Weapons and Drugs and they were taken to court. The police seized other items – evidence from the house, which are being investigated.

In addition, a luxury car used by the arrested persons was also immobilized, the legality of its possession and the authenticity of the registration data of which is being investigated.
