The Greek police are seeking a crime ring that targets the houses of celebrity Greeks. It is believed that household help was used by the ring to find details regarding the owners’ schedule and details about the houses that they had marked. In particular, they had already robbed actress Maria Aliferi and Nonika Galinea, singer Eleni Dimou and a relative of an MP.

Four people from Georgia have already been arrested and have confessed their participation in sixty burglaries.

“I have been destroyed following the burglary in my house,” says Ms. Aliferi. “They took everything, the efforts of a lifetime, they took everything that I had struggled so hard with effort to acquire. I’m so shaken that I’m not sure if I can overcome something so dramatic and tragic.”

After a night at the theater seven years ago she came back to the sight of everything gone. She couldn’t imagine that the Georgian woman she had trusted to enter her house and offered work to had done this to her.
