Cyprus extends diplomatic relations anew

Cyprus has also signed a multilateral agreement on the reciprocal exchange of information relating to financial accounts for tax purposes

Relations between Cyprus and Spain, the Cyprus problem and the recent Turkish violations of Cyprus` Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) were discussed during a meeting on Wednesday between President of the House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou and Ambassador of Spain to Cyprus Angel Lossada. According to a press release issued by parliament, Omirou underlined the good relations between the two countries and their parliaments, noting  that there is room for their further enhancement, especially in the framework of the two countries` participation in international parliamentarian organizations.

Cyprus has also signed a multilateral agreement on the reciprocal exchange of information relating to financial accounts for tax purposes. According to an official announcement, the agreement was reached during the 7th meeting of the Global Forum of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes. The Forum took place in Berlin.
