EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship in the Juncker Commission, Dimitris Avramopoulos spoke on the urgent and decisive need to respond to the threat of drugs, speaking in a special event on the aforementioned issue for the EMCDDA.

‘The report shows that we are confronted with a rapidly changing, globalized drug market and, therefore, we need to be united, swift and determined in our response to the drugs threat. I am particularly concerned that the Internet is increasingly becoming a new source of supply, for both controlled and uncontrolled psychoactive substances’, he stated, clarifying the issue.
