Demokritos offers kids FREE robotics workshops

Training kids to become tomorrow’s scientists

The Demokritos research center in Athens is planning a series of classes in robotics for school children aged from nine to 15 years, organized by the Software and Knowledge Engineering Laboratory at the center’s Informatics and Telecommunications Institute. The classes are being held for the first time at the Demokritos center’s facilities in Agia Paraskevi.

These free three-hour educational workshops will feature an actual teaching robot, Roboskel, that is geared towards teaching younger children. More advanced classes will be offered to high school students.

The workshops take place on Monday and Tuesday afternoons throughout the year and offer interaction with robots, a historical review and interactive electronic games. For more info, CLICK HERE or call 210 650 3002 and 210 650 3055.
