Dendias-Blinken phone call on Turkey and seizure of Greek tankers from Iran

Dendias also contacted Israel and Saudia Arabia's Foreign Ministers

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Monday afternoon. The Foreign Minister raised the escalation of the Turkish provocations at all levels and the seizure of the two Greek ships in Iran to his counterpart.

“We talked on the phone about the latest developments in the Gulf. I also informed my counterpart about the escalation of Turkish provocation, both rhetorically and on the ground, as well as about my visits to the Western Balkans,” Dendias said in a Twitter post.

The Greek Minister also Nikos Dendias contacted his Israeli colleague Yair Lapid on the same issues as well as his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud.

“Following our recent telephone conversation, I contacted again today the Israeli Foreign Minister @yairlapid about the developments in the Middle East & Gulf region. Emphasis was also placed on strategic cooperation ??-??.”
