Deputy PM Venizelos on stress tests results

Mr Venizelos characterized the stress tests results as yet another step towards the country’s exit from the memorandum

Following the announcement of the results of the stress tests conducted by ECB on European banks, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos said on Sunday that “the positive results of the Europe-wide stress tests on the four Greek systemic banks are yet another step towards the country’s safe exit from the memorandum.”

Mr. Venizelos stressed that Sunday’s positive results “are the result of a series of actions taken from 2011 to 2014 that many had been quick to criticize without bothering to examine the general plan that will eventually benefit both the public sector and the national economy.”
