Die Presse: “Greece rules out the idea of a new remission or third aid package by international creditors”

After a long time Greece has returned this year in the financial markets

According to the Austrian newspaper Die Presse, “Greece rules out the idea of a new remission or third aid package by international creditors”.

After Handelsblatt the Die Presse cites on Greek official’s statement who allegedly said that “if there is no financial need, there is no need of a new program of assistance.”

According to the publication, a re remission at the expense of creditors is not an option, but there will be consultations with partners in Europe for relief in repayment of debt, such extension of time or lower interest rates.

The newspaper reminds that already last week, the Greek Prime Minister Mr. Antonis Samaras announced that Greece will not need a new aid package, while the International Monetary Fund from its side expects in the coming year a funding gap of billions of euro.

However, according to the report, Greece estimates are obviously different and said the IMF has not taken into account of all the capabilities that the country may have to cover the gaps, while crucial point is that Greece will exit from the recession this year and there will be a slight decrease in the unemployment rate.

However, among others, the newspaper reports that during the crisis of the euro, the European Union, the European Central Bank and the IMF have provided bailouts totaling 240 billion euro in order to avoid a Greek default, which after a long time, returned this year in the financial markets.
