Draghi expresses concerns over Greek debt sustainability

He said that ECB would like IMF to participate in the third Greek program

It is now widely accepted that there are serious concerns about the sustainability of Greek debt, said the president of the European Central Bank (ECB) Mario Draghi answering to a question posed by MEP Stelios Kouloglou.

Regarding the IMF’s participation in the third Greek program, Mr. Draghi noted that ECB would like IMF to participate, given its expertise in the design and monitoring the financial aid programs.

However, he noted that ECB cannot speak on behalf of the IMF regarding a possible participation in the third Greek program.
