Earthquake 3.8 Richter east of Vravrona and Lavrio

It is an area that does not have high seismicity but has been stimulated for five days

An earthquake that was felt in several areas of Attica occurred shortly before 6:35 a.m. on Friday in the sea area off Vravrona and Lavrio.

According to the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake had a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter Scale (the automatic solution gave 3.7 on the Richter scale) and had an epicenter of 8 km East of Agia Marina Lavreotiki.

The focal depth of the earthquake that occurred at 6:33 am on Friday was estimated at 13.4 km.

Seismologist, Efthymios Lekkas, said, “it is an area that does not have high activity but has been stimulated for five days with earthquakes of this intensity which are small but we feel them in Attica because they are close to the basin”.
