El Celler de Can Roca: The best restaurant in the world

With 2014 winner Noma, coming in second

Spanish restaurant “El Celler de Can Roca” once more won the coveted prize of the best restaurant in the world, overcoming 2014’s champion “Noma”. In recent years, the two restaurants have been exchanging places, with both winning 1st prize.

 

The Copenhagen-based “Noma” which held on to the title between 2010 and 2012 dropped to third place in the “50 Best Restaurants” list presented in the annual ceremony in London’s Guildhall.

 

“Osteria Francescana” in Modena, Italy, acquired second place, and “Central” in Lima reached 4th place, stealing the spotlight from New York’s “Eleven Madison Park”.

 

The rest of the top ten are “Mugaritz” in Spain, “Dinner by Heston Blumenthal” in London, “Narisawa” of Tokyo, “D.O.M” in Sao Paulo, and “Gaggan” in Bangkok.
