Environment Minister approves wind farm construction in NW Greece

When completed, the project will offer 95 GWh of green electric energy per year.

On Friday, Environment, Energy and Climate Change Minister Yiannis Maniatis approved the environmental conditions for the construction and operation of a large wind power station at Voios municipality of Kozani region, northwestern Greece. According to reports, the total capacity of the wind power station will be 39.1 MV.

The project will fuel the Greek economy with approximately 47 million euros.

When completed, the station will offer 95 GWh of green electric energy per year.

Maniatis has approved the construction of 24 wind farms of total capacity 926.8 MW.
