European Union reforms Schengen Agreement- Strict checks at borders

EU to impose strict checks at EU’s external borders even for EU citizens who are residents of the 26 member states of the Schengen area

European Union Interiror Ministers agreed on three points to prevent future terrorist attacks on European countries during their emergency meeting held today in Brussels.

The 28 member states of EU decided to act immediately in order to combat the arms trade on European ground by achieving a better cooperation between national police forces, counter-terrorism and judicial authorities, to enhance European passenger name record (PNR) and to reform the Schengen Agreement so as to impose strict checks at EU’s external borders even for EU citizens who are residents of the 26 member states of the Schengen area.
