Eurovision 2024: Netherlands at Risk of Being Excluded from the Grand Final

Eurovision 2024: The Netherlands’ entry Joost Klein will not be rehearsing until further notice, this comes following an incident with the representative for Israel

It remains uncertain whether Klein will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest’s grand final on Saturday. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) stated, “We are currently looking into an incident involving the Dutch artist that was reported to us. Until further notice, he will not be rehearsing.” No further details were provided at this time, and the EBU will provide updates as necessary.

Klein participated in the flag parade at the beginning of the rehearsal and appeared on stage in full costume. However, he did not show up for his performance approximately 30 minutes later. During a news conference on Thursday night, which featured the 10 acts from the second semi-final selected for the final, Klein was notably present alongside representatives from Israel and the Netherlands.

Throughout the rehearsal show, clips of all 26 songs were featured, including a segment of Klein’s entry, “Europapa,” which is inspired by happy-hardcore music. However, the clip shown was from a previous rehearsal.
