Farmers whose livestock has been hit by disease to get 16 mln euros

The aid given to farmers whose cattle has been harmed has been lifted by 4.5 million euros

Agriculture Minister Girogos Karasmanis announced that an additional financial support of 4.5 million euros will be given to the country cattle farmers, whose livestock has been plagued by bluetongue, smallpox or Crimean fever.The total amount of allowances allocated to the affected farmers since last August stands at 16 million euros.
