Finance Minister wants entrepreneurs to “change their attitude”

Mr. Hardouvelis wants more activity in the private sector and calls for more buying, selling, merging and taking care of workers

Greek Finance Minister Gikas Hardouvelis has already given his stigma at the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and at the Economist conference where he called on Greek entrepreneurs to “change”,”sell”, “invest” and “work”. He has encouraged greater interaction with Greek businessmen and has called on them to change their “attitude” and proceed to merge or sell shares to foreign investors or bring back their own capital and take care of their workers.

Mr. Hardouvelis has already shown that he is a proponent of the restructuring of the private sector where he himself was employed for decades. In his talks he has encouraged greater interaction and has called on entrepreneurs to share their views, admitting that “they don’t know everything at the Ministry of Finance.”
