FinMin Tsakalotos raised investment portfolio by 720,000 Euros between 2011 and 2012 (detailed tax statement in Greek)

Tsakalotos invested during a period of political volatility

The official tax statement of Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos reveals he had increased his income by 720,000 Euros between 2011 and 2012. During a time of tumultuous political developments, with double elections and the rise of SYRIZA to the second largest party in Greece, Tsakalotos appears to have adopted a particularly ‘adventurous’ investment plan, buying bonds worth 1,177.075 Euros and an additional 458,580 sterling from the largest investment funds in the world, including Templeton, Incesxo Perpetual, Blackrock, Credit Suisse and JP Morgan.
