Five members of the Japanese Coast Guard airplane have been killed and one, the captain, is seriously injured.

At the same time footage from the inside of the airplane has been released.

UPDATE:

According to information the aircraft (probably an Airbus A350) collided with a Japanese Coast Guard plane immediately after landing, resulting in an explosion and a massive fire that spread to the runway.

At the same time, five crew members of the Coast Guard plane are missing, while one person managed to get away.

It is not known at this time whether it was an error by the control tower that gave the “clear” to land, or whether the Coast Guard plane suddenly entered the runway while the Japan Airlines plane was landing.

A Japan Airlines plane burst into flames while landing on the runway of Tokyo Haneda Airport on Tuesday night (local time).

Footage from broadcaster NHK showed flames coming out of the plane’s windows and underneath it.The runway was also on fire.

According to government sources, 379 people (367 passengers and 12 crew members) have been safely removed from the burning aircraft.

NHK, citing authorities, said the plane collided with a Japanese coast guard aircraft after landing in Haneda.
