France: Russian spies organized the operation with the stars of David in buildings in Paris

A source close to the case confirms a publication by the newspaper Le Monde

Newsroom February 23 10:43

The Stars of David found spray-painted on buildings in the Paris area last October, amid the conflict between Israel and Hamas, were part of an operation by Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), a source familiar with the matter said today, confirming a relevant report by the newspaper Le Monde.

Dozens of blue Stars of David were found on the facades of buildings in Paris and its suburbs.

A Moldovan couple was arrested, and the alleged mastermind, a pro-Russian Moldovan businessman, was identified.

In November, France also condemned the “Russian digital interference” in this case.

It should be reminded that since November 2023, French media, citing police investigations, had estimated that the graffiti with the Star of David on buildings in Paris was the work of Russian secret services.

The approximately 60 Stars of David were drawn with blue paint.

This particular incident triggered the reaction of the international community, with representatives of the political scene drawing comparisons to the graffiti of the Nazi era against Jews.

However, the message behind the graffiti could not be clearly explained.
