Free kiddies’ public transport workshops at Syntagma on Sun.

Young commuters learn about the joys of the Greek public transport system

Creative workshops for children are planned at Syntagma Metro station in downtown Athens from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The events include performances, photo competitions, interactive games, face painting and much, much more.

Young commuters will learn about the benefits of public transport and how it has inspired artists and engineers like. The young at heart can also join in with a photo competition found “Find the Panda, Say the Slogan!” And take part in contests that test their knowledge on the Greek public transport system.

One of the highlights includes a concert by Penny and the Swingin’ Cats at 5 p.m. in the afternoon.

The event, hosted by the Athens public transport organisation and “WWF-Better Life” program, is sponsored by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
