A Merkel lookalike is fondled by a gay lover to make a point about gay marriage rights

A German magazine showed a “gayer side” to German Chancellor Angela Merkel by launching a provocative advertisement showing a lookalike of the German leader involved in a lesbian relationship. The short clip on Twitter features an actress with a strong resemblance to the chancellor gazing out the window before being snuggled up to by a younger woman.

As the faux austerity queen gazes out the window – maybe thinking about the Greek holiday isle of …Lesbos – shakes her head, a radio report states that 62% of Germans are in favor of gay marriage.

The caption tweeted by Straight! Magazine says: “Everyone in Europe hates Merkel? Apart from this woman”. The campaign comes just a week after Merkel insisted that marriage should only be between a man and a woman. She herself has been married twice and is reportedly a staunch Protestant.
