Greece amongst the most researched travel destinations over the Christmas holidays in the UK

Tenerife was the most popular, followed by Greece, and Cyprus

Tuesday evening will see an increase rise in online searches for holidays in 2015, according to British newspaper, The Telegraph.

A surge in traffic, states news editor Soo Kim who quotes Hotels.com, is expected to take place around 8pm GMT.

Trips during breaks in school holidays, the summer, February and Easter are likely to get the most “hits”, along with romantic trips during Valentine’s Day.

The above prediction comes after Thomson and First choice reported record traffic over Christmas and Boxing Day with nearly 940,000 people said to have been looking up or planning holidays on the internet, a 30 per cent increase since last year.

The most popular destination was Tenerife, followed by Greece, and Cyprus.
