Greece and Israel sign agreement for cooperation in tourism

Tourism ministers examined the possibility of joint tourist packages and cruise packages targeting overseas markets

Greece and Israel signed a Joint Declaration for Cooperation in Tourism, on the sidelines of the recent trip of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to Jerusalem at the head of a government delegation.

During the visit to Jerusalem, Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura and her Israeli counterpart Yariv Levin signed an agreement and reaffirmed their intention to encourage closer ties in tourism between the two countries, through joint action aiming to boost the flow of tourists between Greece and Israel and to absorb a large share of the international market.

More specifically, they examined the possibility of joint tourist packages and cruise packages targeting overseas markets.
