Greece and lenders are very close to agree

The agreement on the prior actions which will unlock the sub-tranche of 1 billion euros

The Eurogroup Working Group (EWG) is expected to convene via teleconference at 20.00 (local time) on Friday to discuss the agreement which is close to being achieved between Greece’s economic team and the representatives of the institutions.

A senior official from the finance ministry confirmed the two sides are very close to agree and that negotiations will be completed within the next two hours.

Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos and Economy Minister Giorgos Stathakis are currently meeting with the representatives of the institutions in order to achieve an agreement on the prior actions which will unlock the sub-tranche of 1 billion euros from Greece’s loan.

Then, the omnibus bill will be submitted in the Parliament tomorrow night so as to be discussed on Monday by the competent committees and on Tuesday by MPs.
