A great time was had by all and nobody got hurt!

Greek pillow fighting enthusiasts gathered at Klafthmonos Square, Athens, and Aristotelous Square, Thessaloniki, braving the cloudy weather to take part in a huge pillow fight against violence and abuse of women and children on the occasion of International Pillow Fight Day 2015, with pillow fights taking place around the world.

At Klafthmonos Square in downtown Athens hundreds gathered for the first ever Athenian pillow fight announced on social media and on pillowfights.gr

“Today’s event is of course a pleasant way to cool off from all that bothers us as well as a way to get through the message against violence,” said Katerina Kehagia, one of the organizers on pillowfights.gr.

Volunteer Paulina Katiaia also called for food and medicine to be gathered for women who are abused and victimized.
