Greek Australians request Greek government refrain from taxing paternal houses in Greece in letter

The letter concerns only the one paternal house

The Greek Diaspora of Australia will send a letter of remonstration to the Greek government requesting their paternal properties in Greece not be taxed under the new laws voted on Greece. The move is organised by the Federation of Greek Orthodox Communities in Australia after an extra ordinary meeting of its members in Melbourne, according to Greek-Australian newspaper ‘Neos Kosmos’. The president of the federation, Harris Danalis said it concerned only the paternal house of the Greek Australians and not other assists held.
