Greek beats Turk in world arm-wrestling final in Turkey – Organisers cut Greek national anthem short in ceremony (videos)

The Turkish organisers of the world arm-wresting championship in Antalya it seems were unable to ‘swallow’ the fact that a Greek came first in the +100+kg category and decided to abruptly cut the Greek national anthem while the athletes were on the podium during the medal ceremony.

Giorgos Charalambopoulos won top honours and became the world champion for the third time. The leading Greek arm wrestler at the left arm after beating Turkey’s Mustafa Altuntaş, who is one of the biggest names in the field in his country.

The Greek champion took first place and was undefeated, scoring 5 wins in total.
