Greek Coast Guard finds another ton of heroin in a warehouse

These places were used by the members of the heroin ring who were arrested in the villa in Philothei a few days ago

Another 986 kilos of pure heroin were located by men of the Greek Coast Guard, who raided a warehouse in the area of Vari-Koropi, which was used by members of the heroin ring who were arrested a few days ago in the villa in Philothei.

 

 

The raid took place after midnight on Saturday, in a swift and well organized operation of the Greek Coast Guard.

Two days ago, the Coast Guard raided a ship in Eleusis for fuel smuggling. During a the preliminary investigation, one of the 14 members of the crew that were arrested, provided the men of the Coast Guard valuable information regarding a warehouse the drug barons were using to hide large quantities of heroin.

The officers of the Coast Guard, using all the data, managed to locate the warehouse in the area of Vari-Koropi on Saturday, around midnight and raided it.

The 986 kilos of pure heroin were is sacks. Due to the immense quantity of the seized heroin, during its transfer to the Central Port of Piraeus, the driver of the vehicle was driving at extremely slow speed, so that the sacks would not fall to the asphalt.
